1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HumanDid ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HumanDid is a web-based writing editor and certification platform that records and verifies the human authorship process. The Service captures keystroke patterns, editing behavior, and writing activity to generate a Humanity Score that reflects how content was created.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. User Content and Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create using the Service. HumanDid does not claim any intellectual property rights over your documents. By using the Service, you grant HumanDid a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

5. Certification and Verification

The certification feature creates a snapshot of your document along with associated writing activity data. Certified documents are made available on a public verification page. You acknowledge that once a document is certified, the certification record cannot be deleted or modified. You may optionally set a password to restrict access to the verification page.

6. Activity Logging

The Service records writing activity including keystroke counts, deletion events, paste events, and writing session timing. This data is used solely to calculate your Humanity Score and provide transparency about the writing process. Activity data is associated with your documents and is included in certifications.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to circumvent or manipulate the activity logging or Humanity Score system; (c) interfere with the operation of the Service; (d) access other users' accounts or data without authorization; (e) use automated tools to interact with the Service in a way that misrepresents human authorship.

8. Service Availability

HumanDid is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HumanDid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
