Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
1. Introduction
HumanDid ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our writing certification platform.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information from Google.
2.2 Document Content
We store the documents you create using the Service. Document content is stored securely in Supabase Cloud with AES-256 encryption at rest.
2.3 Writing Activity Data
To provide our core certification functionality, we collect writing activity data including: keystroke counts, deletion events (backspace, delete, block deletions), paste events, writing session duration, and pause detection. This data is essential for calculating the Humanity Score and verifying human authorship.
2.4 Technical Data
We automatically collect certain technical information such as browser type, device type, and general usage patterns to improve the Service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) calculate Humanity Scores based on writing activity; (c) generate certification records; (d) display certified documents on public verification pages; (e) send important service-related notifications; (f) improve and develop the Service.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase Cloud infrastructure. All document content and writing activity data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Data in transit is protected using TLS 1.2 or higher. We implement Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure that users can only access their own data.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared in the following limited circumstances: (a) when you certify a document, the certification snapshot (including document content and activity summary) is made publicly accessible via the verification page; (b) with service providers (Supabase, Google) who help us operate the Service; (c) when required by law or legal process.
6. Certification Data
When you certify a document, a snapshot of the document content and associated writing activity summary is stored in a publicly accessible storage bucket. This is a core feature of the Service and is necessary for third-party verification. You may optionally password-protect the verification page to limit access. Please note that certification records are permanent and cannot be deleted once created.
7. Data Retention
Active documents are retained as long as your account exists. Deleted documents are moved to trash and permanently removed after 7 days. Certification records are retained indefinitely as part of the verification system. If you delete your account, your personal data and non-certified documents will be removed, but certification records will remain for verification integrity.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to: (a) access and export your documents at any time; (b) delete your documents (subject to the trash retention period); (c) delete your account; (d) request information about what data we hold about you. Please note that certified document snapshots cannot be deleted as they serve as permanent verification records.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
We use essential cookies and browser local storage for authentication, session management, and user preferences (such as theme settings and language selection). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
